Park Neuk is located about 10 miles, (16 km) south of Edinburgh, close to the attractive former mining village of Rosewell in Midlothian.

You can drive to the centre of Edinburgh in 30 minutes. Rosslyn Chapel is 3 miles away, (5 km), or about an hour's walk through the delightful Roslin Glen.

The cottage stands on its own in beautiful countryside, 1/4 mile (400m) from its nearest neighbour, yet within 10 minutes walk of a general store, a take-away restaurant, a pub, a golf-course and a bus stop. It is just 3 miles (5 km) from a 24/7 supermarket and several other good take-away restaurants. It provides an ideal combination of convenience and privacy.

Public Transport: Park Neuk Cottage is fully accessible by public transport - there is no need to bring a car unless you want to. And even if you have your car with you, you may prefer to avoid driving and parking in Edinburgh. The bus stop at the end of the lane has a service, (Lothian Bus 31) to and from the centre of Edinburgh, which runs every 30 minutes throughout the day. Single fares are £1.25 for adults and the journey takes about 40-50 minutes depending on traffic. Alternatively, Park-and-Ride facilities are provided at Straiton and Sherrifhall, both about 10-15 minutes drive away, with frequent bus services to the city centre.

Full details of how to get to the cottage will be provided for each confirmed reservation. However, the maps below should give sufficient information for you to plan your holiday. If you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us: please write or email to Kim McCulloch via our Contact page.
